Ucom Roaming

Stay in touch with family and friends with Ucom Roaming, during your business trips or vacations. While being abroad you can enjoy all your Ucom services: make and receive calls, send and receive SMSes and use mobile internet. Right upon arrival to the country you will be notified with an SMS about the tariffs of a given operator in a given country.

Incoming and outgoing calls are charged per minute.

Mobile internet charging in roaming is calculated per 10 kilobytes. For example, if you used mobile internet service in roaming, during which you consumed 22 kilobytes, you will be charged for 30 kilobytes.

Activation

In order to use your Ucom phone number when in roaming, simply activate the Roaming service before your departure from Armenia. Ucom subscribers can activate and deactivate Roaming service by dialing *121# and hitting the call button free of charge and following the instructions on mobile.

Tips for Roaming
To stay in touch while traveling simply activate the Roaming service before departure from Armenia by dialing *121#.

In abroad your smartphone will connect to the local network and you’ll be notified about it.
- If the smartphone does not connect to any operator automatically, you can choose the one you want from the Settings section of your smartphone. To choose the network manually just click here, search your smartphone model, choose Set up roaming option and follow the steps in the guide.
- If you still can not benefit from internet services, please, make sure you have enabled Data roaming in the Settings section.
To benefit from the internet at affordable prices we recommend activating an internet bundle. Just dial *121#, then follow the instructions and select the bundle you need. For more details click here.

You can check the charges for mobile internet services in your bill itemization. Every single point is equal to 10 Kb. So if you see 1 in the field of measurement units, you have been charged for 10 Kb.

You can easily top-up your balance or make other payments via Ucom cards or online on our site via bank cards issued in Armenia and other international payment systems.

While being in roaming, in case of need, you may always talk to our Customer Care by dialing +37411 444 444 free number or using our online help service.

No need to get a Russian number when going to Russia. You can enjoy the special rate of 5 AMD/MB for internet and 29 AMD/minute for all outgoing and incoming calls to/from Ucom and MegaFon subscribers․ Just activate roaming service before your departure from Armenia by dialing *121# and connect to MegaFon* network upon arrival.

* In order to avoid connecting to other networks, we strongly advise you to choose MegaFon network by manual mode upon your arrival to Russia or to regularly make sure that your phone is connected to MegaFon network.

** With 4G technology you can enjoy higher internet speeds when in roaming and visit more sites per unit time (send and receive data). Depending on 4G network features, when in roaming your phone periodically exchanges data and makes updates, for which charges are performed as per rates, set by given country’s operator.

*** CIS stands for Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

For outgoing calls 29 AMD special tariff is applicable to calls to Ucom and MegaFon networks (except for numbers ported to MegaFon network from other networks).

For incoming calls 29 AMD special tariff is applicable for calls from the Armenian telephone numbers, starting with +37455, +37495, +37441, +37444 prefixes or from MegaFon Russia network (except for numbers ported to MegaFon network from other networks).

You just need to activate roaming before departure by dialing *121#, hit the call button and join MCI* network upon arrival.

For Visitors
Before Visiting Armenia

To use your mobile phone in Armenia, make sure it is compatible with one of the GSM 900/1800 or WCDMA 900/2100 networks. In order to benefit from LTE network it is required that your handset is compatible with one of the LTE Advanced 800/1800/2600 frequencies.

Most handsets are compatible and you will connect to the Ucom network without any difficulty.

If you arrive from one of the countries, which operate on GSM 800 or 1900 (USA), 850 (Colombia), IDEN or CDMA (Japan & South Korea) network types you will have to use an adapted handset or get one at a local Ucom service center and insert your own SIM card.

Connecting to Ucom

Just arrived? Normally, by just switching on your mobile, you will be automatically connected to our network. If your phone does not display Ucom, you can select it manually by following 3 simple steps:
- Firstly, manually select in your phone's menu "Network", "Operator", "Services" or "Parameters" option depending upon your phone type. Then validate.
- Select one of Ucom, RA10, ARM10 or 28310
- Make sure that one of Ucom, RA10, ARM10 or 28310 networks appears on your mobile screen.
You're now connected to the Ucom network.

In order to activate the service just dial * 121 # before leaving Armenia. Select Monaco Telecom as an operator.

The service will be activated on the ship within 2-12 nautical miles after departure. After activation you will see on your phone the new network name: Monaco Maritimes Services / AAMOM / 901 27. The network frequency band is 2100 MHz (covers only 3G).

The service will be activated on the plane at an altitude of 6000 meters. After activation you will see on your phone the new network name: AeroMobile / AeroMob / 90114. The network frequency band is 1800 MHz (covers only 2G/3G).
