How to activate Twitter SMS service
In order to activate Twitter SMS service you need to send word ON to 40404 short number after attaching your phone number to your Twitter account by one of the following options. To activate the service you need to take the following simple steps:
- enter Settings from your Twitter account,
- choose Mobile,
- choose your country from the list,
- enter your phone number and press on Activate phone,
- then send the word GO to 40404 short number,
- send the received password to 40404,
- after receiving your password Twitter will attach your phone number to your Twitter account.
How to attach phone number to Twitter by SMS
- send the word Start to 40404 short number,
- after receiving an answer message from Twitter send YES to 40404,
- send your username to the same number without@ or brackets, e.g. hovhanneshovhannisyan,
- in the end send your password to 40404 short number.

The notifications received by Twitter SMS service are free of charge and the SMSs sent by you to 40404 are charged as on-net SMSs according to your tariff plan.
