Along with recent growth of mobile market more and more fraud issues and scams appear. To avoid such cases and to be protected, it is crucial to be informed and take appropriate preventive actions. One of the most common issues is receiving missed calls or SMSes with content like “Call me back as soon as possible”, “you won a ....” from various strange or unfamiliar international numbers (881XXXXXXXX, 882XXXXXXXX , 252XXXXXXXX, 670XXXXXXXX, 672XXXXXXXX etc.) and when calling back advertisement/noise/dialing tone, etc. is heard. As a result, you lose money because of being charged for this spam calls according to international tariffs, which are much higher than usual local call tariffs. In order to avoid such cases, we strongly recommend to:
- never call back such kind of numbers;
- add the number to your phone’s blacklist (in case if it is a call) to avoid annoying incoming calls;
- to inform us about such cases by dialing 444 from your Ucom number and 011 444 444 from any other number, using our online help service, sending us an e-mail to 444@ucom.am, visiting any Ucom service center and getting in touch with us on our Facebook page.
These are the minimum steps you can take to help us protect you and prevent continuous growth of such cases by using stronger measures.
