Clarification by Ucom - the Armenian Telecommunications Operator
06/11/2020
In response to the news spread by the press on the decision to alienate the shares of Ucom CJSC to Dzoraget Hydro LLC, the Company officially announces that those are false. Meanwhile, the information that the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia made a decision on November 4 to grant consent to the complete alienation of 2 million 510 thousand 696 shares of Ucom belonging to “Forabank” to Dzoraget Hydro LLC, does not refer to the alienation of 100% of the Company shares, but only to the shares of “Forabank”.
Commenting on the news that IU Networks LLC has submitted a request to the Bankruptcy Court of the Republic of Armenia to declare Ucom CJSC as bankrupt, "Ucom" CJSC announces that a technical error has occurred, and IU Networks LLC has submitted an application to withdraw its claim on November 5th. It should be noted that the shareholders of the two companies are the same legal persons, all issues between which are settled through negotiations. Bankruptcy claims are baseless, they have nothing to do with reality. It should be noted that Ucom CJSC, as a strategically important economic structure, will continue to carry out all its tasks with the greatest responsibility, in favor of the country's economy and its subscribers.
