Installation procedure

You have already learned about the great opportunities that come with Ucom services? You want to become a subscriber? There are several easy steps that you will have to pass in order to have Ucom at your home or office.

First step:

Subscribe to our services in one of our service centers or fill out the application form online. You will have to visit one of our sales and service centers or have one of our sales representatives visit you in order to sign a contract for the provision of services.

Second step:

Within 7, and in private houses - 10 working days after filling the application form out your fixed services connection shall be performed. You will have a possibility to choose a date and hour for the installation works.

Third step:

Visit of the installation team. Our employees will get the fiber-optic to your home, install the required equipment: GPON optical converter (also the TV Box for uTV subscribers); activate the service on the spot and check the connection.

You are now a Ucom subscriber.

Installation Works Tariffs

The cost of connection works in multi-apartment buildings is included in the total cost of services provided.

The charge for connection work to villas will be calculated as required, based on measurements taken from the nearest accessible point of entry to the villa, as follows:

• The cost of connection work with an optical cable up to 100 metres is a one-off fee of 15,000 AMD. After that, the cost for each additional metre of connection work is 200 AMD. If you subscribe to the Unity tariff plans for 12 months, the one-time fee of 15,000 AMD for connection work is waived (for distances up to 200 metres). The subscriber shall pay only the amount calculated for the distance exceeding 200 metres.
• If the 12-month subscription contract is cancelled before its expiry date, Ucom has the right to charge a penalty equal to the amount of the connection fee cancelled under the special offer.
• The cost of connection work using internal cables (UTP/FTP) is included in the total cost of the services provided if the length does not exceed 55 metres. If the length exceeds 55 metres, the subscriber will be charged for each metre, starting from the 51st metre, at a rate of 150 AMD per metre

Example: If 85m cable is used to carry out the connection works, the subscriber will be charged for extra 35m - 150 AMD per meter.

In case of subscription to Ucom services with more than two connection points, another 20m for each connection point will be added to the initial 55m, used to carry out the connection works, the price of which is included in the total price of the services provided to a subscriber.

Example: If you need 4 connections to use Ucom services, the price of the services provided to you will include the price of 90m cable and you’ll only pay for the cable, exceeding the mentioned length.

The cases, where the subscriber has subscribed to special tariff packages of Ucom in an area, constituting/serving as an actual business address of any legal entity and/or private entrepreneur, and/or a business address used by an individual to gain profit, or where an individual subscriber has subscribed to any of the special tariff packages offered by Ucom, make an exception.

In such cases the charge for connection works, using optical cables, makes 200 AMD per meter, starting from 51st meter, and for UTP/FTP cables – 150 AMD per meter, starting from 51st meter, if the cable exceeds 55m.

Fixed charges may be applied for cable installation works in certain areas, in order to ensure the provision of Ucom services. Subscribers can gain information about the fixed charges at Ucom sales and service centers.
